Khloe Rios is an immigrant transgender woman, activist, and community organizer. Currently, Khloe serves as the President/CEO and co-founder of Alianza Translatinx, the first and only transgender-led organization in Orange County, CA. Khloe immigrated to the United States in 2000 at the age of 11 years old, along with her single mother, who fled her country due to domestic violence. Amid a range of obstacles such as: culture shock, language barrier, lack of an immigration status and later in her teenage years gender identity assimilation, Khloe began her journey as a voice of the Latinx transgender community.
Khloe is an ambassador of the Transgender Latinx community in Orange County. And she believes that transgender people are the only ones who should be designing programs and services specific to the trans community. Through her work, Khloe wants to ensure the transgender Latinx community has access to comprehensive, culturally and linguistically competent health and wellness services in Orange County, CA.
